Do you love animals and want to be actively involved in helping those who are still looking for home? Join the Team of action: Filling in pets’ bellies 9! Let’s fill the dogs and cats bowls and make this year’s edition unique. Who knows, maybe we will break the record together!

Zimowa Wałówka | Filling in pets’ bellies is an annual action organized by the Volunteer Centre of the University of Warsaw for cats and dogs in need. In line with the action slogan, every winter, we encourage you to join the collection of food and other necessary products for animals. We also organize educational meetings and workshops (for example, we prepare toys for animals from shelters).

The 9th edition of the action is just around the corner. We know that among the UW community, there are many dog and cat lovers and people who want to help animals and have heads full of ideas. That is why we invite you to join our Team for special tasks!

What tasks are waiting for the Team?

• Participation in brainstorming and planning promotion campaigns and special events for the action.
• Help in logistic work (organizing and preparing collection points, taking care of the points visibility, helping in transporting the collection, etc.)
• Help in organizing extra events/actions.
• Help in the promotional activities and promotion of the action among the UW community.
• Contact with action partners.

Why is it worth getting involved?

• Volunteering tailored to you – volunteers can decide what activities they want to get involved in based on their availability, skills and interests.
• It’s a possibility to implement your idea.
  Who knows, maybe we will use your idea during the action?
• It’s an opportunity to meet other cat and dog lovers from the University of Warsaw and people working with animals.
• You will participate in integration and workshops during which we will plan action activities and promotion.
• To gain experience in charity action and promoting social activities.
• After the initiative, you will receive a certificate confirming the individual scope of your engagement and a package of VC UW gadgets.
• To see the joy of dogs and cats in need (which is priceless).

Who are we looking for?

• Current students of the University of Warsaw (the year of study doesn’t matter)
• People who are responsible and ready to get involved in a long-term project. The action runs from December to the end of February, and preparations will begin in mid-November.
• People with at least B2 level of English.
• People who are ready for project and team work. After all, this is a team for special tasks!

IMPORTANT!
The condition to join the project is participation in the workshop, which will take place on November 15 in the Volunteer Centre of UW.
The workshop will start at 4:30 pm and will last until 7:00 pm.
We will brainstorm and plan promotional campaigns and special events for the action. Maybe we can use your great idea!
Presence throughout the whole workshop is mandatory.

The Volunteer Centre will sign a volunteer agreement with all project participants.

We are waiting for applications until November 9.
The number of places in this activity is limited, so we advise you not to wait until the last moment!
