We invite you to join our annual action. This time it will be different than before! What do you say about intergenerational workshops, during which together with seniors gathered around the Nowolipie Intergenerational Activity Centre (CAM) in Warsaw, you will prepare Christmas decorations? Let’s bring together some more joy to seniors and their homes. Sounds interesting? Keep reading!

What will you do?
During the workshop, your task will be to decorate a mini Christmas tree according to your creativity. The organizers provide all the necessary materials and support of the person conducting the meeting. Apart from creating a Christmas tree, we will ask you to write a card with wishes for seniors. Gifts will be delivered to older people associated with the Nowolipie Intergenerational Activity Centre, who do not leave their homes due to their health condition.

The presents will be accompanied by Christmas drawings prepared by children from the kindergarten and the nursery associated with the University of Warsaw. As you can see, our Mission will be even more intergenerational!

Where?
The workshops will take place at the Nowolipie Intergenerational Activity Centre, Nowolipie 25b (near the Ratusz Arsenał metro station, Kino Femina bus stop).

When?

• December 7 (Wednesday) at 3:00-5:00pm (the list of participants is full)
• December 9 (Friday) at 4:00-6:00pm (the list of participants is full)

We kindly ask you to book time to participate in the entire workshop on a chosen day. It will be possible to join the VC UW team and go to the Nowolipie Intergenerational Activity Centre by bus from the bus stop next to the main gate of the University of Warsaw, Krakowskie Przedmieście 26/28.

We invite the entire community of the University of Warsaw to join the Mission: Christmas Tree: students, PhD students, graduates, as well as active and retired employees.

Why is it worth joining the Mission? It’s:

• An opportunity to spend the afternoon pleasantly doing something for others;
• A chance to meet new people and share stories over warming tea;
• An opportunity to feel the festive atmosphere and get away from current issues;
• A chance to make others smile.

In addition volunteers will receive certificates and a set of gadgets.

We are waiting for applications until Monday, December 5 inclusive.

The number of places is limited, so we advise you not to wait until the last moment.
