We would like to invite you to support the 4EU+ International Annual Meeting conference organised at the University of Warsaw on September 25-27. The Annual Meeting of Representatives of the 4EU+ alliance is one of the biggest international events at our university this autumn! Whether you’re about to graduate or just starting your university journey, you can be a part of this event. Let’s unite and host this important event together as a university community!

When and where?
You have the opportunity to get involved on selected days and times, in the following rounds (you can choose one or more rounds):

  1. 25.09 Wednesday 8:30AM-2:00PM at the Faculty of Modern Languages (ul. Dobra 55),
  2. 25.09 Wednesday 2:00PM-6:30PM in the buildings on the Main Campus,
  3. 26.09 Thursday 7:30AM-4:00PM in the buildings on the Main Campus,
  4. 27.09 Friday 8:30AM-12:30PM at the Faculty of Modern Languages (ul. Dobra 55). Currently, for this round, we are only looking for volunteers who are fluent in Polish due to the specific nature of the tasks.

There will be a compulsory organisational meeting for all volunteers on Monday 23.09 from 3:00PM-5:00PM at the Main Campus. Next, we’ll be assembling welcome packs for the conference participants, and we invite volunteers to join us (this should take about 90 minutes). If you’d like to lend a hand, please let us know.

What tasks await the volunteers?

  • Registering conference participants.
  • Ensuring that everything runs smoothly in the workshop rooms and managing the schedule of lectures and workshops.
  • Assisting with the preparation and cleanup of the space.
  • Providing logistical support.
  • Offering ongoing information and assistance to conference participants.

Who are we looking for?
Current students of the University of Warsaw, including first-year students, who:

  • are fluent in spoken English (B2 level);
  • are available on the dates of the information meeting and at least one full shift of the dates mentioned above;
  • are open-minded, self-reliant, communicative, and eager to network.
  • We especially welcome people who study at Dobra and are familiar with the building.

Why take part?
This is a good opportunity to:

  • represent the University of Warsaw at the international event,
  • contribute to the development of our University community,
  • kick off the academic year by expanding your network – connect with students from different years, faculties, and countries,
  • gain experience in organising an international event,
  • get to know our university and the 4EU+ alliance ‘behind the scenes’,
  • put your English skills into practice.

Food, a gift pack, conference T-shirts, and a volunteer certificate are guaranteed for each volunteer.

How to get involved?
Send an email to wolontariat[at]uw.edu.pl with information on:

  • your chosen rounds (days and times),
  • your level of English language proficiency,
  • confirmation of your availability on the date of the organisational meeting and whether you would like to join in packing welcome packs on that day.

Application deadline: September 13, 2024 (Friday) by 12:00PM.

Please note: there will be a large number of people at the event, and the pace of activities may be intense and dynamic at times. Please consider this when deciding whether to join the initiative.
