We invite you to join our annual event – Mission: Christmas Tree! During the workshop your task will be to make Christmas decorations, according to your creative vision. We will provide the necessary materials and instruction. Gifts will be delivered to older people associated with the Nowolipie Intergenerational Activity Centre (CAM Nowolipie), including those who do not leave their homes due to their health condition.

The presents will be accompanied by Christmas drawings prepared by children from the kindergarten and the nursery associated with the University of Warsaw. Thanks to it, our action will also involve the youngest children in this magical and intergenerational mission!

 There are two workshops to choose from:

• December 9 (Saturday) from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Volunteer Center of UW, 56/66 Dobra Street (BUW building)The entire UW community is invited to this event which is combined with a VC UW birthday celebration: students, PhD students, alumni, and active and retired staff members. We also encourage you to come with your little ones! Children’s creativity will be priceless :)Please reserve at least an hour to attend the workshop. It will also be an opportunity to talk, find out what’s going on in VC UW and have some coffee and biscuits. Instead of a birthday flower, we will happily receive a package of pet food to donate to organizations that help cats and dogs.

• December 12 (Tuesday) from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm at the Nowolipie Intergenerational Activity Center, 25b Nowolipie Street (near the Ratusz Arsenał metro station, Kino Femina bus stop)The entire UW community is invited to join this meeting: students, PhD students, alumni, and active and retired staff members. Please reserve your time to attend the entire workshop. Small snacks and beverages will be provided.

Why is it worth joining the Mission? It’s:

• an opportunity to spend the afternoon pleasantly doing something for others;
• a chance to meet new people and share stories over warming tea;
• an opportunity to feel the festive atmosphere and get away from current issues;
• a chance to make others smile.

In addition, volunteers will receive certificates.
