Christmas is coming, bringing with it a season of joy, sharing, and helping. That’s why we encourage you to join us in our annual initiative! This year, together with the Nowolipie Intergenerational Activity Centre (CAM Nowolipie), we invite you to create Christmas surprise boxes for children living in areas of active war fighting in Ukraine. 

The presents will be accompanied by Christmas decorations prepared by the kindergarten and the nursery associated with the University of Warsaw. This way, our initiative will also involve the youngest children in this magical intergenerational mission!

This edition of Mission: Christmas Tree supports the ‘Christmas without Dad: Christmas in the line of fire’ charity event organised by the Uniters Foundation, which will deliver gifts to Ukraine.

You can participate in one of two workshops:

• On 10th December (Tuesday) from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Volunteer Centre of UW, 56/66 Dobra Street (BUW building)
  The limit of places has been reached. Registration for the reserve list is ongoing.

• On 11th December (Wednesday) from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Nowolipie Intergenerational Activity Centre, 25b Nowolipie Street (near the Ratusz Arsenał metro station, Kino Femina bus stop)

Please plan to attend the entire workshop on the day you choose!

To participate, email wolontariat[at]uw.edu.pl with the subject “Mission: Christmas Tree” and specify the workshop date you’d like to attend. Registration is open until 5th December 2024.

Places are limited, so don’t wait until the last minute to sign up!

Additional information

• Manual skills are welcome, but not required. Organisers will provide all materials and accessories.
• The workshops will include 20-30 participants, with lively discussions and activity. Please consider this when deciding to join the event.
