Although the temperature recently dropped below zero, we are already thinking about spring! We are looking for volunteers who would like to work with our student from Kyrgyzstan to organize the celebration of Nowruz at the Volunteer Centre of the University of Warsaw!

Who are we looking for? We are looking for people from countries where Nowruz is celebrated, who would like to share their traditions with the University of Warsaw community and tell us about this special day. Volunteers should be open to teamwork and available on March 20 from 5:00 PM.

If you’re not from the region but are still interested, don’t worry—you can come to the event as a participant. More details will be sent soon, but remember to mark the date in your calendar!

What will your task be? You’ll need to prepare a short presentation about Nowruz celebrations in your country (and if you want, about other traditional celebrations) and organize activities that will engage the event participants.
On March 20 at 5:00 PM, together with the student from Kyrgyzstan, you’ll give presentations and invite participants to celebrate the arrival of spring!

Why is it worth it? This is a great opportunity to introduce your culture to the University community and spend the day in good company. Volunteers who help organize the event will receive a certificate and a gift pack from VC UW.

We are accepting applications until February 16th, 4:00 PM.
Note: The number of people we can invite to join is very limited. If we receive many applications, the selection will be based on presentation ideas.
