Take on a new challenge, experiment in another language and explore the flagship project of the Copernicus Science Centre (CSC)! The ‚YEC Forum’ conference allows teachers to bring cutting-edge learning methods into schools, while working to strengthen 21st century competences and develop civil society. For two days, teachers from different countries exchange experiences and conduct experiments. Now it’s your chance to be part of the project!

Location: Copernicus Science Centre, 20 Wybrzeże Kościuszkowskie

Date: Saturday, 25 November, 10:00-15:00  

Tasks:

• language support for conference participants – teachers from Georgia, Ukraine, Armenia, Romania, Ethiopia and Germany;
• assistance in particular in translating: talks between teachers, carried out experiments, mini-workshops;
• ad hoc translation of minor integration activities;
• possibility to take part in conducted experiments;
• support with communication at a basic level or using pre-prepared mini-glossaries with more difficult vocabulary.

The organisers offer:

• entrance tickets to the CSC;
• participation in the international conference on STEAM education, which brings together the most active teachers from different countries of the world;
• a volunteer contract and accident insurance;
• a short online/live meeting to prepare for cooperation during the conference (date of meeting to be agreed with the organiser);
• a chance to get to know CSC’s active partner organisations and institutions cooperating to improve education;
• possibility to continue cooperation after the conference;
• catering during the conference;
• the opportunity to see „behind the scenes” how the conference at the CSC is organised.

Ideal qualities of Volunteers: openness, easy networking, skills in at least two different languages (e.g. Polish, English, Russian, German, Georgian, Armenian, Ukrainian) and a positive attitude.
