Katarzyna Kucharska has been working for the last decade at the Volunteer Center of the University of Warsaw as a coordinator of projects focused on strengthening the multicultural potential of the university and as a trainer of intercultural skills for the Polish and international academic community. On behalf of the University of Warsaw, she coordinates international and intercultural projects focusing on enhancing the agency and sense of belonging among foreign students (for instance Multicultural Volunteering at UW and UNICOMM Project – University Community Active Participation Project).
She specializes in building bonds among groups consisting of people from different cultures. She cooperates with NGOs as well as Polish and foreign universities in the field of conducting webinars, trainings and workshops on intercultural communication in the academic environment.
A graduate of cultural studies at the University of Warsaw and the Graduate School for Social Research at Lancaster University. She studied cultural anthropology at the University of Amsterdam, and completed numerous trainings in the field of cultural animation, intercultural skills and anti-discrimination.
As a project coordinator and trainer, she works with students from almost all over the world. In her work, she uses a combination of academic knowledge, practical experience from everyday life and workshop methods designed in accordance with the needs of participants. A Board Member of SIETAR Polska and a Board of Directors Member of SIETAR Europa.
