[ENGLISH BELOW] 17.05.2019 roku na Uniwersytecie Warszawskim można było porozmawiać z przedstawicielami kilkunastu państw i kultur, spróbować smaków z różnych zakątków świata, wziąć udział w warsztatach, spotkaniach i dyskusjach. To wszystko jednego dnia i w jednym miejscu, podczas Miasteczka na styku kultur – Cultural Hot Spot UW!
Organizatorami wydarzenia byli Zarząd Samorządu Studentów Uniwersytetu Warszawskiego wraz z Welcome Point UW oraz Uniwersyteckim Centrum Wolontariatu. Podczas wydarzenia, które odbyło się 17 maja na Kampusie Głównym UW, w godz. 10:30-18:00 można było:
Wydarzenie było organizowane po raz pierwszy i jak mówi Katarzyna Basisty, kierownik Welcome Point
„Jest odpowiedzią na potrzebę zgłaszaną przez studentów, przyjeżdżających do nas z najróżniejszych zakątków świata. Chcą pokazać to, co w ich krajach jest interesujące i co ich ukształtowało. Mają ogromne pokłady pozytywnej energii, którą chcieliby się podzielić, więc czerpmy z tego to, co najlepsze!”.
Na UW studiuje ponad 4800 zagranicznych studentek, studentów, doktorantek i doktorantów. Największe grupy stanowią nasi wschodni sąsiedzi, studentki i studenci z Ukrainy i Białorusi, a także z Hiszpanii i Włoch oraz Chin.

On 17/05/2019, at the University of Warsaw, you could talk to representatives of several countries and cultures, try flavors from different parts of the world, take part in workshops, meetings and discussions. All this in one day and in one place during the Cultural Hot Spot UW!
The organizers of the event were the Board of the Students’ Council of the University of Warsaw together with Welcome Point UW and the University Volunteer Centre. During the event, which took place on May 17 at the Main Campus of the University of Warsaw, from 10: 30-18: 00 it was possible to:
This was the first edition of our event and, as head of the Welcome Point, Katarzyna Basisty, says:
“It is the answer to needs of students who come to the University from all over the world. They want to show us their countries and cultures that shaped them. They have loads of positive energy to share so let’s learn from them!”.
At the UW there are more than 4 800 international students and PhD candidates. Ukrainians and Belarusians constitute the largest groups. There are also many students from Spain, Italy and China.
