During the Easter season, every kind word addressed to seniors will be extremely important, as from mid-March 2020 their contact with the outside world is very limited. Join us to change it!

Who can take part in the mission?

How can you get involved in the „Mission: Easter”?

There are 3 ways:

1. You can send the text of your wishes at wolontariat[at]uw.edu.pl, and we will put them on an online Easter card and send them to the Nursing Home.
2. You can prepare an online Easter card yourself and also send it to us at wolontariat[at]uw.edu.pl. Don’t forget to add your wishes!
3. You can prepare a traditional Easter card and send it via post office to the Nursing Home to the following address:

Hint! We encourage you to start your wishes with a personal greeting, e.g. Dear Senior and to sign them with your name. This will give a more personal touch to your wishes.

Wishes and virtual cards can be sent to VC UW until March 24 (inclusive). However, if you plan to send traditional cards, we advise you to do it a little earlier to make sure that they reach the seniors before Easter.

The wishes sent will be given to seniors and displayed on the screens in the Nursing Home. Later a chain of wishes will be made from all cards! All this will create a warm atmosphere. We hope that seniors will feel surrounded by kindness and support during this special Easter time.

Are you looking for possibilities for integration and artistic expression? Take part in an Easter get-together online workshop.

Although we cannot meet in VC UW, in order for the tradition to be followed, we invite you to meet us online. It will be an opportunity not only to prepare cards for seniors according to your own creativity, but also to make new friends and have a good time.

When?

• Thursday, March 18 at 4:30-6:00pm (CET) – workshop in English
• Friday, March 19 at 4:30-6:00pm (CET) – workshop in Polish

If you want to take part in the workshop, send an email at wolontariat[at]uw.edu.pl with the information in which workshop you want to participate and wait for the reply. Workshop application deadline: March 15 noon (12:00pm CET).
The number of places is limited.
