OCHOTA PROJECT

The Volunteer Center of the University of Warsaw and the Inna Przestrzeń Foundation would like to invite you to become a part of the students’ initiatives for the local community. 
Join the Ochota Project, our international, multicultural event for students!
We will provide you with the expert advice, skill-trainings, financial support for your initiatives and a lot of a good time! 
Do not wait for others to make a change! You can inspire others and make a change at the Campus Ochota!

 Who?

People who have some spare time in November and would like to spend it on creating and developing their own projects.
You do not have to be very experienced – we will help and advise you!
The most important thing is to be motivated to act on the Ochota Campus and make changes in the Ochota Students’ Dorms Community.
The requirements are also good English skills (at least B2 level) and availability to attend meetings in November and early December.
We would like to create a space for the experience and ideas exchange so no matter what do you study – the more diversity, the better!

Why?

For the International Students:
Once you are here, it is worth to create a bond with the local space and community. You will gain new skills and meet other people from different countries who care and want to improve your local surroundings.

For the Polish Students:
Once you are here, it is worth to create a bond with the local space and community. You will gain new skills and meet other people from different countries who care and want to improve your local surroundings.

 What and When?

4th and 5th November:
You will split into smaller multinational groups and learn how to design and conduct the project you really care about. You can conduct the project on one of the following topics or come up with your own issue, you find important:
– Students’ Dorm as our place
– Networking of the Students’ Dorms
– Students for Migrants
– Students for Antidiscrimination
– Discovering the Ochota Campus
– Local Integration of the Ochota Campus Inhabitants

WORKSHOP SCHEDULE

6th November – 1st December
Working in the Teams (according to your individual schedules).
Consultations with Mentors from NGOs and University.

2nd December
Presentations of your teamwork
Setting plans and initiatives for the Future.

 The language of the workshop: English.

How to apply?

Send us an email to wolontariat[at]uw.edu.pl with the details about you (your CV would be great) and the information (around 10-15 sentences in English) why do you think that local initiatives are important and what kind of the project you would like to conduct in the Dorm or at the Campus. It does not have to be very specific, it is important to introduce us to your personal motivation.
Application Deadline: 01.11.2016 3pm.
The number of places is very limited so do not wait until last moment!

 Results of the whole project:

You will gain skills of working in the international team.
You will learn and practice the projects designing and conducting.
You will become an important part of the implementation of the changes in your local community – you will have the influence!
